Rough start for the Vols so far. Alabama driving into the lane regularly.
Slow start on offense not really new for Tennessee, but allowing Alabama this many points this early is surprising. It doesn’t seem to be just that Bama is hitting tough shots, either. Hopefully, they can figure it out.
Defense much better that segment.
Vols chipping away at it.

I’d love to know how 37 points for an opponent at the half compares to the rest of the season.
Auburn had 42 in the first half, Vandy had 45.
The good news? Alabama is not shooting very well from three. Cut out the easy points from driving to the bucket and UT can still win this.

They seem to have forgotten it in the locker room at half time.

They seem to have twice as much energy. That’s not the only problem, but it’s a big one.
I think matchup zone is a good move. This is not a great outside shooting team. They have shown they can beat us off the dribble and pass. Make them shoot over us.

Zero defense in the paint. The root cause of that? Don’t know, but maybe focus coming off the Kentucky win was an issue?

They were just totally off in every aspect. Bone even missed a breakaway dunk/layup.
I also have to give Bama some credit. When they are on they can beat anyone in the country. I also agree with the announcers that they are a terrible match up for UT. Obviously this result is way out of hand.
Sure. They were humming. Bad combination.
Also, thanks to the announcers, we’re reminded that Alabama beat Florida by 18 (at Florida), too, so they can do this to good teams.
