It’s way too early to worry about our current RPI, but winning today could impact us 15-20 spots by Selection Sunday.

Nevermind the overall win/loss projection at RPI Wizard, which has the Vols as basically a .500 team. If you plug and play:

L Purdue, W Western Kentucky, W NC State: RPI 76 ( at season’s end)
W Purdue, L Villanova, L SMU: RPI 74
W Purdue, L Villanova, W SMU: RPI 58

Winning today and losing twice is more valuable than losing today and winning twice if chalk holds.

I vote we win all three and not worry about it. 🙂

Would love to see Tennessee play Villanova. I’ve been part of Villanova University for 5 years now. We have a good thing going. It would be valuable experience to play a top 5 team that focuses on defense.

That’s how to end a half, I do say.

Talk about great in game adjustments to end a 5 minute drought and rally for the tie.

Finally in front of a TV – 13 offensive rebounds against this bunch is absurd. Shooting 34% and up five.

A+ ball movement on the take-the-lead possession there

*grumpy fan grumble* Announcers seem to enjoy talking up Purdue as they are down on the scoreboard

Plenty of newcomers, but our winning time lineup is veterans (Bone Turner Bowden Schofield Williams)

That second to last Purdue possession had my heart racing. I agree that it was a travel and to avoid controversy wish they had ran the play. Other than that awesome win!

3-0 Vols! Bring on the next combatant!
